Accessibility statement
Dating advice should be open to everyone.
Enchantment Dating is committed to making its articles, podcasts, tools, and conversations usable by people with a wide range of abilities, technologies, and ways of navigating the web.

Our commitment
Our accessibility target is the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA. We use this current international standard as the common technical foundation for our work and for alignment with the accessibility frameworks described below.
Accessibility is a continuing practice, not a one-time launch task. New articles, images, podcast episodes, forms, and interactive features can introduce new barriers. We therefore include accessibility in design, development, editorial review, and maintenance, and we prioritize correcting barriers that prevent someone from reading, navigating, listening, or contacting us.
This statement describes our accessibility target and working practices. It is not an independent certification, legal opinion, or guarantee that every page is free from every barrier. The laws that apply to a website depend on the organization, service, location, and circumstances.
Standards we support
The following standards and laws do not all apply to every website in the same way. We use their shared accessibility principles to guide this site, while recognizing the distinct legal scope of each framework.
WCAG 2.2 Level AA
Our primary technical target. WCAG organizes accessibility around content that is perceivable, operable, understandable, and robust. Targeting WCAG 2.2 AA also includes the requirements of WCAG 2.1 and WCAG 2.0.
Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)
The ADA protects people with disabilities from discrimination by state and local governments and by businesses open to the public. We use WCAG and accessible design practices to support equal access to our content and services.
Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA)
Ontario's web accessibility requirements apply to designated public-sector organizations and businesses or nonprofits with 50 or more employees. The applicable web standard is WCAG 2.0 Level AA, with specified exceptions. Our newer WCAG 2.2 AA target includes the WCAG 2.0 criteria.
Section 508
Section 508 applies to information and communications technology developed, procured, maintained, or used by United States federal agencies. The Revised 508 Standards incorporate WCAG 2.0 Level AA. Although Enchantment Dating is not a federal agency website, we use the same underlying criteria as part of our accessibility baseline.
California accessibility requirements
California Government Code requirements, including sections 7405, 11135, and 11546.7, establish accessibility duties and certification requirements for California state agencies and entities. California's Unruh Civil Rights Act also protects full and equal access in business establishments. We design toward WCAG 2.2 AA to support accessible use by people in California.
European Accessibility Act (EAA)
The EAA, implemented through the national laws of EU member states, applies to covered products and services placed on the market from June 28, 2025, including e-commerce and certain consumer digital services. We apply accessible navigation, content, forms, and compatibility practices that support its goals where relevant.
What we do
Our design and publishing approach includes the following measures:
- Structure Semantic landmarks, logical heading levels, meaningful page titles, and a skip link help readers understand and move through each page.
- Keyboard access Navigation, links, buttons, forms, dialogs, and preference controls are intended to work without a mouse and show a visible focus indicator.
- Readable presentation Text and controls are designed for sufficient contrast, clear spacing, responsive reflow, and enlargement without loss of content or function.
- Images Informative images receive useful text alternatives. Decorative images are hidden from assistive technology so they do not add noise.
- Forms and controls Inputs use labels and understandable instructions. Status, validation, and error information should be available without relying only on color.
- Plain communication We favor descriptive links, direct language, digestible paragraphs, and consistent labels so readers can scan and understand content more easily.
- Motion and media We avoid unnecessary flashing and unexpected autoplay. Published podcast episodes should include a transcript, and video should include captions where applicable.
- Device independence Core content and actions are intended to remain available across mobile and desktop layouts, touch input, keyboard input, and common assistive technologies.
Testing and maintenance
Accessibility cannot be established by an automated score alone. Our review process is intended to combine automated checks with manual inspection of page structure, color contrast, keyboard operation, visible focus, zoom and reflow, form behavior, and screen-reader output on representative pages and workflows.
We review shared components because an improvement to navigation, article templates, cookie preferences, or the footer can benefit the whole site. We also review individual editorial content, especially image descriptions, link purpose, heading order, transcripts, and any downloadable material. Material changes to the design or publishing system should trigger another accessibility review.
Feedback from people with disabilities is an important part of this process. A standards checklist can identify technical failures, but lived experience often reveals friction that a checklist misses.
Known limitations
Enchantment Dating is still being developed. Some podcast areas may be previews or placeholders until complete episodes and transcripts are published. Generated editorial artwork may occasionally need a more useful text description, and new interactive or third-party features may not immediately provide the same level of accessibility as the rest of the site.
Third-party platforms linked from this site, including social networks and external audio services, are controlled by their respective providers. We cannot guarantee their accessibility, but we aim to keep the essential article content and contact path available directly on Enchantment Dating.
When we identify a barrier, we assess its impact, provide an accessible alternative where practical, and work toward a lasting correction. This section will be updated when a material limitation or remediation affects readers.
Accessibility feedback
Tell us where the barrier is.
If a page, image, form, audio item, preference control, or other interaction is difficult to use, email hello@enchantmentdating.com. Please include the page address, what you were trying to do, and a short description of the problem. If you are comfortable doing so, telling us your browser, device, or assistive technology can help us reproduce the issue.
You may also request article content or another resource in an alternative accessible format. Tell us which content you need and the format that would work for you. We will work with you to find a reasonable way to provide access and will not charge an additional fee for an accessible version.
